Lauren Conrad L.A. Candy Addiction

Just thought I'd stop by and tell you guys that I'm officially addicted to the Lauren Conrad" L.A. Candy" series.  I just finished the first one, "L.A. Candy" and not I'm working on the second on, "Sweet Little Lies", and you better believe that when I finish this one I'm starting the third one... I don't know what it's called though.

Lauren Conrad first stared on the MTV reality series "The Hills" and then later went on to design her own clothing line and now she is one of the New York Times best selling authors! Talk about succesful!

The first book in the series centers around Jane, your average girl next door, and her best friend Scarlet, who is a beautiful brainiac.  The two girls move to L.A. and are lucky enough to become part of a reality seried called, none other than, "L.A. Candy".  Now they are completely famous and they can't even walk out of there apartment building without being attacked by papparazzi.

I love these books so much and I would recomend them to anyone who would want to read them!  :)

Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

For me, easter is all about color!  I love color!  Color is one of the reasons I love makeup.  I love lime greens, and gorgeous blues (teals, turquoises, and aqua marines) fushias and light apstel pinks and vibrant yellows!  I love dying easter eggs, so I thought I'd share a few tips and tricks with you guys :)

My first tip, my moms client just taught me this today, and she said that in the "olden days" when egg dye didn't exist they would wrap eggs in onion peelings then wrap them in cloth and boil them in water.  I tried one, and it was pretty cool.  Not colorful... brown... but it had a nice marbalized effect :)

Another one if to cover an egg in thin strips of tape or stickers shaped like circles and then soak the eggs and then peel them off when you're done and you have nice polkodots and stripes!

The last one is not to use that much vinigar... the color is much mor vibrant.  Hello color!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!  God bless yoU!!!  <3

My Perfume Wish List

Just like many other girls my age, I love perfume, and pretty much anything that smells yummy such as lotions, body splashes, and body butters.  How ever, my favorites are perfumes.  Some of my favorite ones I can't afford though.  Perfume isn't something I'll spend hundreds of dollars on.  In fact, the most I've ever spent on a perfume was about $30.  I know, I'm a cheap skate, but there's nothing wrong with saving money.  :)
These are the perfumes I've either smelled in magazines or in stores such as Sephora or Ulta that I don't own, but I wish I did.  I hope you enjoy, and next time you're at a high end perfume store, try these out!  :)

1)  Vera Wang Preppy Princess
The original Vera Wang Princess, and the second, Vera Wang Rock Princess, were both great, but my favorite one so far is the newest one, Vera Wang Preppy Princess.
2)  Miss Dior Cherie
Did I spell that right?  Idk, but anyways... Miss Dior Cherie is such a sweet scent in the cutest packaging.  There was an article on the history of the perfume in the March issue of Teen Vogue that talked all about the original scetches and all that good jazz.  It was really interesting. I love sweet scents so this perfume is perfect for me!

3)  Daisy by Marc Jacobs
I love Marc Jacobs.  Even though i can't afford the clothing, obviously I'm only 13, when I see his work in magazines it really inspires me.  It's always so bright, and bold, and fearless.  When they came out with the perfume, I was so excited!  Lola by Marc Jacobs wasn't exactly my thing, but this one really hit the spot.  Plus, the packaging is so adorable!  I think there was a new one that came out in February, but I'm not exactly sure what it's called.  But this was was so amazing!

Natalie's Food Obsessions

Just like most other teenagers in the world, I have my crazy food obsessions.  There are the foods I have loved ever since I was 3 which are mainly the ones I can NOT live with out, but there are also the little fads I go through.  Most of you guys know that I go through fads and fazes like a squirrel goes through his nuts.  There was my scarf obsession in 6th grade and my belt obsession earlier this year.  There was my obsession with sour patch kids, which eventually faded away.  Here you'll be reading about my current food fads and the foods I have ALWAYS loved.  I hope you enjoy and maybe try some of these foods out.  :)

My All time Favorite Foods
These are the foods I have ALWAYS loved ;)

1) Dr. Sprite
Yes, you read that right.  I did say Dr. Sprite.  (OMG that rymed!)  It's been my favorite soft drink since I was a small child.  It's a mix of Dr. Pepper and Sprite.  It is so delicious.  Next time you go to a fast food resteraunt, try it!  You will fall in love!!

2)  Sour Cream Harring
I know, it's weird and it sounds duisgusting but I love it... always have!  :)  If you've never tried it, don't judge the name.  It's actually really delicious.  It's a little bitter but it's also very sweet.  I love it!

3)  Plums
Plums are by far my favorite fruit.  I'm obsessed with fruit.  I like fruit more than i like sugar... or starbucks.  ;)  They're so juicy and sweet and just so delicious!

My Food Fads
These are my "faze" foods

1)  Fudge Pop Tarts
I know, they're so unhealthy, but I only have them once in a while.  They're so delicious!  They're basically regular Pop Tarts with a chocolate frosting and a fudge middle.  Delicious!  It's even better with a glass of gold milk!  Yumm yumm!  :D

2)  Apples
Apples?  Really Natalie?  Yes!  Apples!  Recently, my mom bought these really cute mini apples from a local grocery store where I live and they are so adorable!  Every since she got them last month she's been getting them non stop and I've been eating them non stop.  They're healthy too and they're so good with peanut butter... right out of the container :)

How To Stay Focused In School Towards the Summer

As crazy as it is to think about, Summer is almost here!  It's mid April, and for me there's only six weeks of school left so it's super hard to stay focused.  All I can think about is the hot weather, laying out by the pool with my friends, and being able to sleep in!  I get up at 6:00 on school days so I'm so excited to be able to catch up on some sleep.  Good-bye dark under eye circles!  ;)
Today, I'm going to be talking about some different ways you can stay focused in school even though you're just dying for the final bell to ring.  I hope you enjoy reading this and maybe try them out.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments.  Love you!  :)

1.  Listen to happy music

If your school lets you listen to ipods of walkmans in class, use them!  Make a playlist of some happy songs.  Music always helps me concentrate in class.  It makes working more fun.  Some happy songs to try are No Sleep by Wiz Kahlifa, Who Says by Selena Gomez, and California Girls by Katy Perry.

2.  Add color!

An old trick I learned from allthatglitters21 on YouTube, or Elle, is to take notes in color.  If you have to take lots of notes, like I do, write in colorfull gel pens!  Use colors that make you happy.  :)  For me, that's bright pink, lime green, and turquoise.  If your notes are written in color, it will make you more interested.

3.  Make your room smell good

When you're doing homework in your room, try lighting a candle or using an air defuser to make your room smell fresh.  You can make it smell fruity, floral, sweet, whatever you want!  Choose a scent that interests you so you're completely present.

These are my tricks on how to stay focused in school!  I hope you liked them.  Follow me on twitter:  http://twitter.com/#!/xxmakeup99xx and subscribe to my YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/xxmakeup99xx
